The Challenge

The Atlantic AngelsThe Atlantic Angels are a team of 4 women who are attempting to break the World Record for an all-female fours Atlantic crossing, aiming to make the trip in under 67 days, 7 hours and 20 minutes. The gruelling 3,000 mile trip from the Canary Islands to Antigua will see the girls face 30 foot waves, extreme heat, sleep deprivation and sharks.

Taking 25,000 supporters with them

www.faceboat.orgIn an effort to help raise as much money as possible for the cancer charities that the Angels are rowing for, they came up with the idea of www.faceboat.org. The website, built for no charge by White October, allows supporters to upload and crop a photo, which will be printed on the side of the boat in return for a donation. This novel idea will see the girls take up to 25,000 supporters with them.

White October also helped the girls with their team website, building the www.atlantic-angels.co.uk website with our Contented content management system. This has allowed the girls to effortlessly publish information about their expedition and will track their progress once they have set off on the crossing.
