A national music magazine making great use of the Contented CMS to manage 50+ authors and hundreds of articles every month.

Time-saving on a huge scale

Content, content, and more content

Rolo Tomassi

New-noise.net is an authority on the new music scene with over 50 music journalists reviewing albums and gigs and interviewing artists around the country. It churns out hundreds of articles every month, but with Contented sitting behind it, the workload for its limited editorial team is minimized.

Dragonette

Journalists around the country log in to Contented to submit their articles. Thanks to Contented's permissions management, none are able to publish their articles, but instead add them to a queue to be reviewed by one of the magazine's editors.

With the article now sitting inside the CMS there is often little more for the editor to do other than click the publish button. The style and layout of the article is managed by the system, meaning that all concerned can conentrate on the important stuff: the words.

Finishing touches

Site Search

Another great advantage of the Contented CMS is that, with the content sitting in a database, a site search was relatively easy to accomplish.

Mailing list

Mailing list software has also been added to the site, to enable music fans to keep up to date with new articles.

About New-Noise.net

About New-Noise.net

New-noise.net is a national online magazine, with over 50 music journalists, and well respected by music fans and labels alike as a great source of information on new bands.

Started over 3 years ago, it now boasts thousands of quality articles and churns out hundreds more every month.

"We'd always struggled with Dreamweaver for the layout, design and updating of the site but the Contented CMS is a great, very intuitive system. Updates that previously took hours upon hours - often whole weekends - to put together, can be sent to editors by the writers and then edited and published in a matter of minutes. It's saved much time, hassle and headaches and we'd be lost without it now!"
