We are hiring a Delivery Lead

We’re looking for an experienced project manager to become our new delivery lead, heading up our team of talented project managers.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has significant digital project / software delivery experience across a range of project types and technologies and who is looking for that next challenge to drive their career forwards.

The role

This is an opportunity to lead on setting the delivery strategy for the company. You will help us to shape and refine our project management processes, from how we report on projects to how we run scrums, everything is up for grabs!

It is a hands-on project management role - your primary responsibility will be the successful delivery of digital projects and ongoing support for our clients.

You will also manage our team of talented project managers, supporting them to further their professional development.

This is a full-time role in our Oxford office.

Your responsibilities

  • Setting our delivery strategy, refining key processes including resourcing, reporting, project planning and estimation.
  • Management of the PM team including professional development and hiring.
  • Project management for a number of clients - ensuring your project teams deliver projects and support services on schedule, to the right quality and within budget.
  • Building strong relationships both internally with our teams and externally with your clients.
  • Accurate and consistent reporting on project status, financial reporting and invoicing.
  • Working with Sales, Creative & Technical teams to highlight new revenue opportunities for WO that create value for our clients.
  • Helping create a positive working environment based on our culture of being collaborative, open, flexible and social.
  • Sharing what you learn with the wider Digital Community, through blogging, conferences and meetups.

Our ideal candidate

You will be an experienced project manager, with a passion for Agile and a desire to define and refine project processes.

You will be keen to balance hands-on project management, alongside a more strategic oversight of how we deliver our projects.

Essential skills & experience

  • Experience of delivering projects using Agile methodology (Scrum or Kanban)
  • Already working as a Digital Project Manager/Technical PM/Producer/Product Owner in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
  • Successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects across different teams.
  • Experience of estimating, progress reporting and financial management of projects
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, written and verbal
  • Managing competing demands on your time and prioritising work as necessary.
  • Making decisions in difficult or ambiguous situations when time is critical.
  • A commitment to learning, developing and sharing knowledge

Desirable skills & experience

  • Experience of using our preferred tools - JIRA, Harvest, Xero, Slack
  • Experience of sharing your expertise with the wider community - through speaking at conferences and meetups or blogging, for example.
  • Agency experience
