The Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for maintaining timely and accurate accounting records to help support the organisation’s growth objectives.

You will be part of the Finance and Operations team (Finance, People, Facilities, Legal & Admin Support), who are tasked with ensuring the operational side of the business runs seamlessly to support the Digital Product agency do what it does best.

As a key member of the team you must have excellent attention to detail and a good understanding of accounting principles. You will need to be highly motivated and an effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders. You will love working as part of a team but equally work well autonomously. Must have Xero experience and be able to organise and prioritise your work.

You will be required to apply your strong computer literacy and proficiency with accounting software to all duties which will include:

  • Sales Invoicing - including ensuring invoices are issued on a timely basis, are accurate and complete
  • Accounts Receivable - including review of aged receivables ledger, following up overdue invoices with clients, assessing the requirement for a bad debts provision
  • Purchases and Accounts Payable - uploading and coding of supplier invoices, reviewing aged payables ledger, obtaining authorisation and scheduling supplier payments
  • Staff Expenses and Credit Cards - completing / reviewing staff expense claims, uploading and coding credit card transactions
  • Banking and cash flow management - daily, weekly, monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and company credit cards
  • Month end accounting - ensuring that the company books are up to date and monthly reconciliations are performed

Working within a small agile business, from time to time you may be required to assist with other tasks and projects to support the Finance and Operations team.

This is a part-time role, anticipated at 15 hours per week, with flexibility around the days / hours worked.
