The Challenge

'Elite, but not elitist'

LMH began with nine women and is now a vibrant academic community transforming the lives of hundreds of students. LMH are diverse, open, intellectually curious and pioneering. LMH continue to break boundaries as the first Oxford College to establish a Foundation Year for under-represented students.

The Solution

LMH wanted to produce a new style of Oxford College website and worked with students, tutors and staff to develop a clear brief so they could create a stunning user-experience.

Our feedback informed the design which reflects the pioneering spirit of the College. A colour palate of orange and grey was used to tone with the red brick of the College buildings – a departure from the traditional College colours of yellow and blue.

The content pages were designed for high impact photography to showcase the extensive grounds and the box layout give a clean reading experience. The moving film on the front of the website adds personality to the site and can be changed during the year.

We were struck by White October’s ability to truly understand LMH’s pioneering spirit and develop a website to reflect the uniqueness of the College. The whole team were committed to creating the best possible website for the College – and we are delighted with the result.
